You can take it in to a lock smith and then get a key made, get more than one and then you will always have a spare. Most of those locks are pretty easy to open, if you look into the key way you should see something sort of hanging down in there, you can use a bobby pin to push it out of the locked postion.

try opening a paper clip, then put a small 90 degree bend on one end, insert it into yke lock, going in as far as you can go and try turning. takes a little fiddling. i am assuming it is a tiny lock. the bend on the ens should be about an eighth of an inch long. or whatever the length of the slot opening is. maybe it will and maybe it wont. but worth a try.

Depends on the lock on the box, really.
If its a small lock , somewhat like a handcuff lock, head to dailymotion.com and search for 'handcuffs' , there is a video on how to pick a set of handcuffs with a bobbypin. That just might work on your box.

try to remember what your key looks like and try to duplicate it if possible. if its impossible for you to duplicate your key, try bringing your box to a locksmith, good locksmiths can open thing without destroying them

Why don't you be honest with us and then give it back to the rightful owner? Happy burglary!

take a hook earring or paper clip and insert it at an upwards angle, rotate it to the right until it catches the thingy on the inside and clicks open and it should open.

Hair picks can work or a bristle from a hairbrush can work. You can also go to those key people and get a new key!
