you should get a jewellery hand!!! i have ine they’re really useful, you can just chuck your stuff on them.
then you can see everything and you’ll know when you’ve lost something, like this;
i have lots of these too, all around my bottom shelves in various burlesque styles, they look amazing when all the little jewels and metal sparkles around them;

i got mine at wal mart that stands on its own and is 3 feet tall. also, have a large decorative magnet to hold odds and ends or a large earring rack on your dresser. to keep necklaces from tangling you can put them through straws and hook them, that always works for me
so i finally went to bed bath and beyond and bought a drawer organizer! forget the da m n jewelry box they are never big enough for me! and they have too small compartments for allllllllll my crap! so i bought a big ol’ drawer organizer. i have 3 of them and havnt lost ANY of my jewelry ever since!! i have one for earrings with both studs/dangles/hoops i have another for necklaces and another for rings/bracelets!!

edit: as the hand is cuute and def a good way to save stuff…i use to have one and CONTINUED to lose all my crap! i dno how but i somehow managed too!! plus i’d have to have like 3-5 hand thingys for alllllll my shat!! lol just fyi
