Honestly, I think it’s always better for people to go to local jewelry stores, bridal stores, clothing stores, etc when buying things that need to fit and look right, instead of ordering them, hoping they come on time, and hoping they fit, look right, etc.
Personally I would skip the heart shaped box and get them nicer jewelry they can wear again…but I am not into trinket boxes. I have enough of them.
You can find 1928 jewelry at Macys and JC Penneys on clearance and their website has some great deals too. Monet jewelry is great too. They both have a vintage look to them.
. They have all kinds of stuff on there. I purchased my bridesmaids some Swarovksi crystal earrings on there for 50% off, which made them a steal at $13 each.
“Reasonably priced” means different things to different people. I personally would never get my ‘maids costume jewellery, as I think it is cheap and offensive. They are your bridal attendants, not children playing dress up. They’re spending $400 on your wedding for gowns, gifts, etc. and all you give them are $18 earrings?! I think not…
I would cut back on my own spending to give my bridesmaids a nice gift they could REALLY wear again with fond memories. I know we all say that it’s the “thought that counts”, but really, we all know that no one is happy with plastic jewellery or cheap mass produced earrings, especially when the bride spent $$$$$ on herself.
The above link has some “reasonably priced” items, like high quality earrings for $95.
You can purchase silver jewelry for bridemaids from. They have a very good collection of silver jewelry at lowest prices. Currently they have limited collection of necklaces and pendant sets but they update their stock frequently.
