jewelry box

Not only my wedding ring, and not only the jewelry he gave me were in it, but also the jewelry I purchased with my own money, the jewelry my family gave me were in it! Other than suing him legally, what else can I do? Can I go to the police station and file a case?

I think you should at least go to the police and file a report before he pawns the stuff he doesn’t want that might be of importance to you.

I would report that he has stolen your jewelery to the police then i would start divorce procedings and take him for half

if he bought it, he probably thinks it is his… and the police and courts won’t really care…

Trade it for the stuff you stole from him.

Yes you can and you better do it soon or your valuables are going to end up in a pawn shop. He cant just take your property thats illegal. But since you have seperated these are the childish games that people play. He may just be holding your property hostage so there still is a connection between you and him. If you cant get any satisfaction from your ex then you have no choice Go to the police

You can do one of two things….

1- If you two didn’t decide that you was to keep the box and it’s not specified in the divorce decree, then you should file a report with the police (theft report) because he did take it without your consent. The only thing is that you two are still legally married, so they may not take the report unless you produce documentation stating that at this date, and time, you were legally separated and what belongings you had were yours and so on…

2- You could let it go and don’t look back. That’s what I did. I gave him the jewelry box he made with his own two hands and had engraved a love note on the bottom of it. I told him to keep it and its contents because the man that gave it to me doesn’t exist. (that hurt him more than me not speaking to him!)

File theft and robbery case against him and list down the items in the box. File it properly – with the cops and with a lawyer and sue his @$$ off!

You can try the police, but here in PA its a domestic situation and have to take to court but thats not even easy you have to prove its yours. If your getting a divorce then talk to you lawyer and can get back sometimes during the divorce or after.
